Stefan Ursu was born in Bucharest, Romania.
From a young age, he was intrigued with model-making,
which ultimately led him to becoming a distinguished and passionate ceramist.
Upon graduating University, Stefan landed an apprenticeship as a Dental Technician with his mentor, Adrian Jurim. After five years of perfecting his skills, he received his Certification in Dental Technology (CDT) in 2003 from City Tech College, Brooklyn, NY.
By 2004, he became a Master Ceramist under the tutelage of Jason Kim CDT and Peter Pizzi MDT at NYU College of Dentistry. Shortly after, Stefan opened his first dental laboratory in Queens, New York where he perfected his skills and became proficient at all aspects of dental technology.
Between 2009-2012, he worked as an assistant faculty member in the International Esthetics Department at NYU College of Dentistry, where he furthered his knowledge of clinical chairside dentistry. In October 2013, he moved to Los Angeles and opened his second dental laboratory, Aesthetic Design Studio. He developed a wide network of doctors, clients and colleagues in the industry. In August 2020, he launched his third laboratory, The Veneer Guy in Pasadena, California where he is currently focusing on esthetic treatment planning and specializes in anterior veneers, full-mouth rehabilitation and implant cases.
